BALLENGER RECAPTURES ‘INSIDE MICHIGAN POLITICS’

March 26, 2025 by tbreport 18 Comments

Inside Michigan Politics, the bi-weekly hard copy (later online) newsletter founded in 1987 and published for 27 years by William S. (Bill) Ballenger before he sold it, has been returned to him, facilitated by East Lansing attorney Mark Grebner.

Dormant since 2018 after two owners over some five years, Bill Ballenger once again owns the rights and the name. Such interest includes the name “Inside Michigan Politics” in print, on the internet, or in any other forum.

What’s next for IMP?

Sounds good, though doing IMP as some sort of podcast or audio thingy would be interesting.

Congrats Bill! The more things change, the more they stay the same (or go back to the way they were), or even better?

      Good for you Bill!.

      Check out https://canusaschengen.org/

I incorporated a non profit in Vermont the CANUSA PROJECT INC a year ago.

The purpose is to question people all across Canada and the USA especially those near the border to see if they would like to petition both governments to consider possibly establishing a Schengen like area between them.

When we got some donations we could hire someone to do social media querying and ask for donations to support the idea.
Soon I will have a bank a/c for the donations to go.

Nice to see you at L’ville a few years ago.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! Great news! IMP was not the same without you.

IMP is back where it belongs. Maybe the return of the audio/podcast thingy you used to do with Dennis Denno or someone else?

    My first comment ever!

So glad to hear this Bill. I first started reading IMP when I was a new county commissioner in 2009 as we had a subscription via our county clerk. When he left office and it wasn’t renewed, I purchased my own. a real thrill for me was my one time mention in it while I was running for the 58th district in 2014,

    Congratulations!
