John Carl Stewart says
Very sorry to read of the passing of Susan. I have read the Obituary. We have lost a highly-intelligent, sensitive, culturally superlative lady. I did not know her background in support of the Arts and love of music. Beth and I extend our deepest sympathy. You are in our prayers.

Kay and Michael Melet says
Hopefully you know she was loved and admired by Michael and me too. Such a special woman. She gave so much of herself to be there for others. She was so lovely, smart. organized, fun, happy, thoughtful, and so beautiful on the inside and out. She has left a huge hole in our hearts and that of our community. We are so sorry for your loss Bill.
Robert Burkhardt says
Bill — Our hearts are with you.

Barbara Bradford says
Susan’s obituary was a remarkable tribute to your deep relationship…wish I’d had the honor to know her.
James Draper says
Lynne and I first met and became friends with Susan on a Founders art bus trip to Kalamazoo. Since then our paths have crossed in ever so many ways. She and I both became new FIA board members at the same time and attended those meetings together. I loved that she never hesitated to ask questions about various museum activities or procedures. She and Marilyn Kopp asked me to join the Founders Society, which I did after making sure that this previous “all ladies organization” now had a few men on its board. I will be finishing up my 2nd 5 year stint as Founders president in June 2022. Susan encouraged Lynne to join the Hurley Foundation Board. Lynne was on it along with Susan for many years and just finished her term as board president last year. Also, through Susan we got to meet and know you and have always enjoyed the times when we were able to get together at various social events. Susan was a whirlwind of positive force in our lives. We will miss her dearly, but we will never forget her!
Pat Laughlin says
Bill, you have my deepest sympathies. ✝️
Marian Hailey-Moss says
Dear Bill, you know more than anyone the world has lost an extraordinary person. But Susan left it way better for her being here. How blessed I am to have known her. My deepest sympathy.
Dave Richards says
I didn’t know her, but I am both saddened by her loss and cheered by her involvement in civil affairs and life while she was here.
Deb And Phil Betz says
Just received the note advising us of the death of Susan. Thank you informing us.
We will remember our happy times in Blissfield with our “police” friends.
I wish I had reached out and visited Sue, she wanted to show me her Flint area.
Prayers for all family.
Etta Abrahams says
There is nothing more wonderful than to love and be loved, and nothing sadder than losing that. My heart is heavy and goes out to you and Susan’s family. She was truly a Woman–in the Sherlockian sense, and more.
